Prehnite – “New leaf”

Prehnite is considered a stone of unconditional love and the crystal to heal the healer.  It enhances precognition and inner knowing.  Enables you always to be prepared.  Prehnite calms the environment and brings peace and protection.  It teaches how to be in harmony with nature and the elemental forces.  Helpful for “de-cluttering” – letting go of possessions you no longer need, aiding those who hoard possessions, or love, because of an inner lack.  Prehnite alleviates nightmares, phobias and deep fears, uncovering and healing the disease that creates them.  It is a stone for dreaming and remembering.  Beneficial for hyperactive children and the causes that underlie the condition. (From Charms of Light.)

This was a very hard stone to wrap since it had a weird shape. In the end, it holds in place properly, but some force can pull the stone out. Then again, I don’t know why you would purposely pull the stone out anyway, so it should do.

This is also another stone that is being displayed at the stall in the market. It’s a curious stone, green with black spots. (In all technicality, this is a prehnite and epidote stone.) My other stones have been ‘traditionally pretty’ ones like opalite, labradorite, etc. so this was pretty new to me. (Actually, I have wrapped prehnite before, but it was more like New Jade, a different colour of green.) It’s also the first silver-plated wire-wrapped stone I’ve made, and it sure was hard to make sure I didn’t scrape the silver layer off. (My first attempt was something like that…)
